Getting Started with Ableton

In this workshop, you will get a hands-on tour of Ableton Live that will show you how to start making sounds without feeling lost. You’ll see how Ableton Live can be used for making beats, recording vocals & instruments, playing multi-track loops, and even DJing. By the end, you will be able to find your way around the program and start a new music Project of your own, with a clear understanding of the steps involved.
Tech 25 will provide computers and a copy of Ableton Live for you to use, as well as additional online support with resources for you to download and explore. This is a hands-on workshop where you will be playing sounds, listening to music, and exploring creative options inside Live. Expect about 2 hours of lecture and 1 hour of guided lab/creative time.
No experience necessary! We love beginners.
