Ableton Live Basics
No experience required! Your music production journey starts here. In Ableton Basics, you'll get comfortable with the foundations of a Digital Audio Workspace (DAW), specifically how it pertains to Ableton Live. You'll learn digital project management, as well as the basics of studio playback and various software displays like Ableton Live's unique Session and Arrangement views. Learn how to launch clips, scenes, and tracks within a project and how basics mixer functions like volume, pan, mute, solo, and return FX sends function to make a project work.
Through this hands-on training, you'll be able to understand the differences between audio and MIDI clips and demonstrate production tools like samples, FX, looping, tempo changes, timeline markers, and more. Want to understand the ins and outs of Audio Routing? Why is using the browser useful? How do you even Zoom in and out of a project timeline? We teach all this and more in this basics course.

By the end you'll have the techniques to break down the mix process into simple steps you can follow for any Project, no matter what size.
In this class, you'll understand the range of human hearing and understand where "main character" sounds live in a mix.
