Full-Time Experienced Vinyl Press Operator

Wage negotiable plus relocation pay
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee vinyl record pressing machines to produce high-quality records according to production specifications.
- Set up presses, molds, stampers, and temperature/pressure parameters for each production run.
- Monitor production output and make adjustments to ensure consistent quality.
- Inspect records for defects such as warping, non-fill, surface noise, or pressing inconsistencies.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor mechanical adjustments when needed.
- Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, and production planning teams.
- Train and mentor new press operators on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production logs, machine settings records, and quality documentation.
- Assist in preventative maintenance and cleaning of pressing equipment.
- Help optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years experience operating automatic vinyl record pressing equipment manufactured by either Viryl, SMT, Newbilt, Pheenix Alpha, et al.
- Strong understanding of record pressing processes including puck preparation, stamper installation, and cooling cycles.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read production specifications and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to heated presses, mechanical equipment, and production noise.
- Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
