Stagehand Basics

Stagehand Basics
Tuesdays & Thursdays
6PM-8PM starting 7/21/26

Stagehand Basics is the starting point for everyone in event technology.

No experience is required, and you don't need to know which career path you want yet. This class introduces you to all five areas taught at Tech25: Audio, Lighting, Video, Music Production, and DJ'ing so you can discover what interests you most!

Through hands-on activities, you'll learn how to safely set up and break down a small event, manage cables, use road cases and dollies, secure equipment with ratchet straps, and understand how a professional warehouse operates. You'll also gain experience connecting speakers, microphones, projectors and laptops.

Students learn the four essential steps of event production: equipment placement, power distribution, audio and data connections, and soundcheck—as well as stage directions and crew communication skills that are critical for working effectively as part of a team.

Because the program runs on a continuous cycle of lessons, you can join at any time. Stay until you've completed all the badges in the certification stack, then advance to the next level and begin specializing in the area that excites you most.

This certification can lead directly to entry-level opportunities such as Warehouse Assistant or Stagehand, where you'll help prepare equipment, support load-ins and load-outs, and gain real-world experience in live production.

Ready to get started? Join Stagehand Basics and take your first step into the world of live events and entertainment technology.
