Applications for Tech25's Teen Summer Job is Now Open
Posted 04/06/25
Work experience will take place June 23, 2025 - August 8, 2025.
The Tech25 Teen Summer Program is a transformative, hands-on experience designed to prepare teens for their future careers. Through training in audio production, videography, and the live event industry, the teens gain valuable job readiness skills while connecting with their local history and community.
Guided by experienced Tech25 educators and guest speakers from the arts, media, and community sectors, the teens are introduced to the exciting possibilities within creative and event technology-driven fields. They work with professional-grade audio and video equipment, as well as editing software like Ableton Live and DaVinci Resolve. This comprehensive program takes place in Tech25’s collaborative workspace, with several field trips to local historical and cultural sites. These positions are offered through The Learn & Earn Summer Youth Employment Program, which is designed to provide meaningful work experiences and career exposure to low-income young adults residing in Allegheny County.
Tier 2 programming provides youth with career competency development in a work setting with supportive employers and a caring adult supervisor who acts as a coach to guide their development and prepare them for internships and/or employment with private businesses.
Learn & Earn is made possible through a partnership with Allegheny County, the City of Pittsburgh, and Partner4Work. There are a limited number of positions available. A completed, eligible application does not guarantee placement. Placements are made on a first come first serve basis. Students have between now and April 21 to choose Tech25 as a worksite. Because placements are not guaranteed, applicants are advised to complete applications as soon as possible for the best chance at a placement.
