Audio Basics Training

What you will learn (terms, tools, and techniques):

-Learn the science of sound and audio signal flow
-Hands-on training to set up and operate a small PA system
-Dive into the basics of audio processing FX (compression, reverb, delay, etc.)
-Introduction to DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) routing and creative programming
-Industry independent work and collaboration knowledge through team-building activities
-Learn to mix audio for live events and small concerts

Audio Basics is a 4-week interactive training course designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of audio engineering. Whether you’re an aspiring audio engineer, podcaster, beatmaker, DJ, or just someone curious about sound, this program provides hands-on training alongside professional technicians.

Eligibility

Ages 16+ encouraged

No prior experience required!

This course lays the foundation for more advanced programs

Students must commit to a total of (at least) 4 hours of class time per week for 4 weeks to earn a Certificate of Attendance.
